At Lillie’s we believe that your wedding day should be as unique as you are. Over-priced ’conveyor belt’ weddings at ex stately homes are fine, but maybe you imagine something a little more personal for your big day.
Planning
Many have this dream but assume that there’s tons of organising involved, we have years of experience and loads of contacts from planning our brides’ weddings, and every one of them original! We can offer comprehensive planning packages to suit you, can organise everything on your behalf, if you so wish, or just be on hand to offer advice. We know that it’s the little touches and attention to detail that’ll make your reception really memorable. It’s never too soon to start thinking about colours, themes etc, taking clippings from magazines and looking around for ideas....try and write them down!
Venue
Finding a venue for you perfect reception may not be as tricky as you suppose. A marquee is great and not as stomach churningly expensive as you might consider, around £2000 will get you a frame (no poles) marquee big enough (approx 60x30 feet) for about 120 guests. Please contact us if you require a marquee quote. But not everyone has a huge garden/ spare field, you could try asking at local sports clubs, depending on the season they·re sometimes happy to put up a marquee (they’ll be getting revenue from your guests using the bar facilities). Some councils may allow marquees on parks, greens etc or you could befriend a local farmer! Village/ Church halls can look a little drab, but very often they provide a great ’blank canvas’ for you to put your personal stamp on - it’s amazing how simple things like crisp linen, fresh flowers and fairy lights can transform a space.
As site caterers at the TAD centre on Ormesby Road in Middlesbrough, we are also able to offer the restaurant and bar facilities for private functions, providing an excellent solution for your wedding venue, please call us to arrange a visit.
The Food
At Lillie’s we are really flexible. We like to design wedding menus specific to your wedding, possibly you’d like to include personal or family favourite foods, a theme or seasonal foods in your menu. So maybe you’d like all your wedding food to be heart shaped and pink; want an Hawaiian themed wedding complete with palm trees or perhaps you would just love a great dinner with proper food, excellent service and the happiest day of your life.
